We Relocated to Canada!

We Relocated to Canada!

At the end of the day, life really is a series of decision with an avalanche of choices to be made. Most of the time, the quality of our decisions is directly proportional to the quality of our lives. The trick to making a stellar decision most of the time is to be clear on all your options – the number of choices on the table, the pros and cons, your whys! Afterall, once a decision is made, we must stick with it, go through the motions and manage every consequence that comes with our choice – that is what responsible people do!

Hubby and I decided to call Canada our new home after all the considerations. We landed in July 2022 as Canadian Permanent Residents (PR) and boy what an experience this has been. I can’t wait to unpack our journey in this beautiful maple country with you. It was a tall order for me given where I was in my career in Nigeria but guess how I had my mind made up? You are damn right if you guessed God! No jokes my heart was so heavy I think Eli would have said the exact things he said to Hannah if he had seen me that night when I lifted my voice and heart to the one who sees and knows all things.

With dreams so vivid and scriptures as clear as day, I got my specific word from God, (the anchor for my soul) as I prioritized my new family. I instantly became ready to take this rare opportunity to carefully re-write my story and reposition myself for destiny!

Relocating to Canada can be a roller coaster. Moving to any new country can be a lot. Settling in that country can also be intensely stressful but I am going through all that right now so you don’t have to, ok? I am taking my time to chronicle my experience in Canada so that you can settle in seamlessly. I have details of this on my YouTube channel and a separate playlist was created for this useful resource (Relocation Series). I encourage you to binge watch but more importantly, take notes and let it prepare you for a seamless Canadian experience if you plan on taking this step with your family as well. Don’t forget to subscribe while you are at it

Beyond the journey to settling, I would share helpful tips on how to get a Job in Canada, build your professional network, position your career long term, reskill and upskill. I would share my journey in Canada, one year later (July 2023) with you soon. My blog is my safe place and I intend to be extremely vulnerable in my writing. You don’t want to miss writing sessions with Ella! Till I come your way again, you owe it to yourself to seek the face of the all knowing God as you take life one choice at a time…

Can’t wait to hear about your journey so far in Canada. I pray you eat every good this land has to offer.

  2. “Taking life one choice at a time” speaks to me about deliberate living which is the life God has called us to. 2 shall chase 10,000!
